This is a variety of basil that is very distinctive, its leaves are completely black.
It has an intense aroma with sweet aromatic notes and can be used to compose dishes with bright colors.
Basil (Ocimum basilicum 'Purpurascens') is an annual herbaceous plant, coming from the Lamiaceae family, has Indian origins and is widely used in Italian cuisine.

To have an intense flavor it is recommended to place it in a very sunny place where the chlorophyll photosynthesis must do its job by developing large, fragrant and healthy leaves.

Advice: cut the twigs once the plant has exceeded 10cm in height, do not remove the individual leaves but cut the twig preferably with scissors. When the plant is in bloom, they should be cut and removed in order to maximize production.
